So apparently Comvest Properties has come out with a video showcasing the proposed Cotton Mills Marketplace development. As you may recall, this is the outdoor mall development that's been talked about.

As a hopeful future student of MSU I think this will be great for everyone around that area!!!!!!!!!!
Sigh, i just left an extensive comment only to be booted off by our server.
It was a good one too.
So here's some of my points summed up
-Watch out for tax breaks. moderate ones are good, we need to expand our business appeal.
-Will be a boom for the entire area. Perhaps Research Park brings in new corps, and we renew our regional leadership.
-We need something like this to compete with Columbus. They will drain our tax revenue with their new mall dramtically over the next 10 years. Having something higher class and nicer will keep students, alumni, and residents here.
-Nice blog! I'll have to come back often.
-make sure we aren't anchored in this place by Kmart stores. We need something to really give us flair and attractiveness.

Richard, with this project having been discussed as a possibility for quite some time now, what is the actuality of this thing breaking ground soon? I agree with Nick D this could be a major boost right now for Starkville, especially with the town already growing and going in the right direction
